25/hour The Night Auditor processes the night audit function at the front desk for The Grand Hotel property and covers all front desk & customer service needs during shift including but not limited to:
Check-ins, departures, answering phone calls, assists with in-house or walk-in guests' needs, perform duties of bell staff in the form of cleaning hotel restrooms, lobby and office area, and reacts appropriately in emergency situations.
This position requires previous hotel front desk experience.
This position is available for full-time, year-round employment or seasonal employment.
Looking for someone to work 4 days on (10 hour shift) & 3 days off.
Responsibilities:
Fully understand and support Xanterra Mission Statement and Core Values.
Perform basic steps in preparation to balancing the front desk activity.
This includes using the night audit checklist, reviewing e-mail messages pertaining to audit, print contingency reports, review all cashier closing reports, run all night audit reports needed to balance all restaurant, bar, telephone, & Lost Interface charges.
Balance all room charges for the day to ensure accuracy; post charges and adjustments if needed.
Run shift audit update to verify that corrections were done and that all numbers are in balance.
Run the Night Audit process - system posting of room and tax to all in-house folios.

Prior night audit or front desk experience preferred.
Knowledge of PMS system (Opera), Microsoft Office Suites, Real Vu and VIP suites preferred.
Previous cash handling and credit card processing experience.
Basic Competencies:
High level of professionalism and communication skills (provide clear instructions/directions).
Verbal comprehension (Understand oral and written communications, follow detailed direction).
Attention to Detail skills (minimize the risk of error).
Reasoning skills (problem solving and troubleshooting skills).
Multi-tasking and prioritization skills.
Intermediate computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is:
Constantly listening, hearing, seeing, standing, walking, using eye/hand coordination, handling, wrist motion.
Frequently walk and lift or carry up to 10 lbs.
Occasionally sit, handle, reach outward, reach above shoulder, squat or kneel, lift/carry and push or pull up to 100lbs.
Will be required to stand long periods of time and to occasionally walk up flights of stairs.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
